The rise of robotics in aged care is transforming how older adults are cared for, addressing staff shortages and workload. Daily interactions with residents highlight an urgent need to better understand improve human–robot interactions. This study investigates 34 interacted 10 service robots a regional Australian facility over 5 years, focusing primarily on their experience that transported meals laundry. Guided by the Almere model, research employs qualitative case approach, drawing observations, focus groups, interviews management, industry leaders, frontline staff. Findings categorised into Emotional Reactions, Human–Robot Interaction Collaboration, Social License Environmental Dynamics. Results indicate conditional acceptance scepticism about robots' reliability practical utility. Our highlights importance supportive environment, robust infrastructure adequate training for successful robotic adoption. It also argues engaging diverse multi-tiered stakeholders investigating, designing, implementing care, emphasising role social behaviours what we propose as functional robots.

Introduction Virtual Reality (VR) offers new opportunities in healthcare, especially for older adults, who often suffer from reduced mobility, cognitive decline and social contact. However, VR is still not widely accepted among current generations their caregivers as a healthcare tool. Methods This qualitative study explores the perceptions of adults caregivers, formal informal, on its potential use aged care. 67 interview participants explained views after being presented with video showing using immersive technology. The data was analyzed thematic analysis. Results reveals that three stakeholder groups foresee an entertaining therapeutic technology, but they also worry about VRs’ impact loneliness, capabilities needed to it, well safety adults. Abstract This paper explores the ways in which health care professionals, family carers, and older persons expressed attitudes opinions on using Paro, a social robot designed to stimulate patients with dementia. Thereafter, we critically evaluate existing prejudicial views toward Paro users provide recommendations for its future use.
