Biomass-derived polymer materials are emerging as sustainable and low-carbon footprint alternatives to the current petroleum-based commodity plastics. In past decade, ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) technique has been widely used for of cyclic olefin monomers derived from biorenewable resources, giving rise a diverse set biobased materials. However, most synthetic polymers made by ROMP nondegradable because their all-carbon backbones. Herein, we present modular strategy acid-degradable poly(enol ether)s via copolymerization oxanorbornenes 3,4-dihydropyran (DHP). 1H NMR analysis reveals that percentage DHP units in resulting copolymers gradually increases feed ratio oxanorbornene increases. The composition plays pivotal role governing thermal properties. Thermogravimetric shows an increasing results decrease decomposition temperatures, suggesting incorporation enol ether groups backbone reduces stability copolymers. Moreover, wide range glass transition temperatures (16–165 °C) can be achieved tuning copolymer structure. Critically, all developed this study degradable under mildly acidic conditions. A higher leads enhanced degradability, evidenced smaller final degradation products. Altogether, provides facile approach synthesizing with highly tunable properties desired potential industrial applications.

Objective: This study aims to investigate waste management practices at temple sites in Bali, Indonesia, with the overarching goal of reducing carbon emissions and promoting environmental sustainability amidst increasing generation frequent ceremonial events. Theoretical Framework: The relies on key theoretical concepts from science, management, tourism studies, sustainability. These include population dynamics generation, principles sustainable intersection cultural conservation. Method: employs a comprehensive methodology that involves analysis composition using Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 19-3964-1994. Additionally, we collected data through interviews expenditure assessments evaluate existing understand visitor behaviours. Results Discussion: Analysis revealed significant quantities generated sites, Watu Klotok Temple emerging as largest contributor, producing 449.87 kg waste. Other contributors included Tanah Kilap Tampel, Saraswati Temple, Mutering Jagat Sidakarya Jagatnatha Pucak Mangu Temple. Predominantly, organic accounted for 84.33% total waste, while plastic food constituted 4.08% 11.59%, respectively. We observed strong positive correlation between numbers underscoring urgent need mitigate impact reduce emissions. Research Implications: results this have both practical implications strategies conservation efforts Bali's landscape. research's recommendations, such locally sourced fruits implementing segregation programmes, broader policies similar contexts. Originality/Value: research contributes literature by providing empirical evidence Bali quantifying potential reduction. study's interdisciplinary approach highlights its relevance value tackling issues culturally regions advancing development practices.
