Abstract This study aims to investigate the potential for enhancing financial contributions nature conservation and/or environment protection contributed by citizens private sector in Vietnam. Specifically, empirically examines antecedents of utilization patterns and contribution city dwellers public national parks. We introduce use a novel CBMM analytic method (Bayesian mindsponge mindspongeconomics combined with Culture Tower) analyze dataset 535 Vietnamese urban residents surveyed late 2020. Empirical results demonstrate that more frequently individuals visit parks, likely they are contribute financially projects parks as whole. In addition, having trees house positively correlates donations park projects, while intention next 12 months encourages planting These suggest improved environmental literacy connectedness can help encourage act collectively alleviate burden dealing issues. also found increased frequency bushmeat consumption impedes people’s support implying consumer culture might be hindrance efforts engage public. Based on findings, this offers not only key solution burdens but paves way nurture foster associated closer sustainable future years come.

The draft Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework commits to achievement of equity and justice outcomes represents a "relational turn" in how we understand inclusive conservation. Although "inclusivity" is drawn on as means engage diverse stakeholders, widening the framing inclusivity can create new tensions with regard manage protected areas. We first offer set that emerge light relational turn biodiversity Drawing global case examples applying multiple methods conservation, then demonstrate that, by actively engaging interdependent phases recognizing hybridity, enabling conditions for reflexivity partnership building, not only be acknowledged but softened and, some cases, reframed when managing biodiversity, equity, goals. results improve stakeholder engagement area management, ultimately supporting better implementation targets.

Abstract Protecting global biodiversity is one of the most urgent tasks for coming decades. Area-based conservation a pillar preserving ecosystems and species. Strictly protected areas specifically preserve ecosystem processes. The “EU Biodiversity Strategy 2030” targets strict protection 10% land area. Here we performed first analysis strictly (as IUCN type Ia, Ib, II) across Europe, by investigating their area coverage at level biogeographical regions, countries elevation gradients. We show that, with few exceptions, amount very limited spatial distribution such biased towards higher sites, as in case other areas. Then, suggest that potential should be identified to expand low economic social costs including, instance, high value, population, productive use. Finally, propose coordinated effort strategic plan achieve continental-scale are fundamental, least half this under (i.e. 5%) categories Ia Ib.

Though numerous studies acknowledge the critical role played by green spaces (GS) in bolstering sustainability various dimensions, a majority of these investigations primarily center on ecological aspect and urban environments. Due to multifaceted benefits GSs, different categories expectations can be identified across disciplines. Hence, no single method exists for evaluating success GSs promoting due variety expectations. This study provides framework public (PGS) holistically based discourse, specifically including rural transitional rural-urban areas, with focus GS's recreational values. Employing systematic review 130 publications sourced from Web Science, Scopus, Google Scholar ensuing content analysis, we elaborated 14 distinct qualities, accessibility, connectedness, responsiveness, activity, social interactions, facilities, safety security, spaciousness, biodiversity, perceptual value, aesthetic symbolic value. The interrelationships among qualities are also elucidated through analysis. These utilized as novel approach evaluate efficiency PGSs sustainability.
