Colorectal cancer (CRC) remains one of the leading causes cancer-related deaths, meaning it is essential to explore all possible strategies for its prevention and treatment. Unfortunately, risk factors such as an unhealthy lifestyle, lack exercise, obesity—which are increasingly prevalent in developed countries—contribute CRC development. The aim this study was evaluate effect a mesalazine (MES) lactoferrin (LACT) combination on viability cells healthy intestinal epithelial cells, well assess expression profile target genes within Wnt/β-catenin pathway. Additionally, aimed preliminarily analyze mechanism action underlying combined effects these compounds. In study, we used three cell lines (HCT-116, DLD-1, HT-29) along with line CCD 841 CoN. These were treated MES LACT separately, combination. We demonstrated that reduced more effectively than either compound alone, while slightly increasing normal cells. synergistic may serve foundation developing new treatment CRC, utilizing compounds high safety profile.
