Introduction: Polyphenolic compounds are widespread in nature, contained large quantities especially fruits, vegetables, cereals and nuts. In recent years numerous attempts have been made to characterize their biological effects, with particular emphasis on protective potential against the development of chronic diseases, including cancer. Purpose study: The aim study was collect analyze publications use polyphenols prevention treatment cancer, breast colon prostate cancer lung - four most common cancers Polish population. Material methods: A review literature available PubMed performed using various combinations keywords: 'polyphenols' + 'cancer', 'oncology', ‘polyphenols’ ‘chemoprevention’, ‘chemotherapy’, 'lung cancer', 'breast ‘colorectal cancer’, 'prostate cancer'/'prostate gland cancer'. Results: analysis collected allows conclude that exert multidirectional anticancer effect through antioxidant, antiproliferative, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory prosenescence activity. This has demonstrated, among others, relation cellular models colorectal cervical cancer. Polyphenols also reduce side effects associated conventional therapies increase effectiveness. Zearalenone (ZEA) is a mycotoxin produced by Fusarium spp. fungi and widely found in moldy corn, wheat, barley, other grains. ZEA distributed to the whole body via blood circulation after metabolic transformation animals. Through oxidative stress, immunosuppression, apoptosis, autophagy, mitochondrial dysfunction, leads hepatitis, neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, abortion, stillbirth female animals, decreased sperm motility male In recent years, due influence of climate, storage facilities, factors, problem pollution global food crops has become particularly prominent, resulting serious problems for animal husbandry feed industries, threatening human health. Resveratrol (RSV) natural product with therapeutic activities such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anticancer properties. RSV can alleviate ZEA-induced toxic effects targeting signaling pathways NF-κB, Nrf2/Keap1, PI3K/AKT/mTOR attenuating damage, inflammatory response, regulating cellular autophagy. Therefore, this paper provides review protective effect against toxicity its molecular mechanism, discusses safety potential clinical applications search detoxification agents.

Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a serious neurological disease that can result in paralysis. After SCI occurs, the blood–spinal barrier (BSCB) disrupted, and permeability transiently elevated. However, of BSCB returns to normal over time, which prevents many drugs from being used subsequent treatments. In this study, we designed borneol-functionalized macrophage membrane encapsulating mesoporous selenium nanoparticles loaded with resveratrol (MSe-Res-BMMs) for treatment. vivo animal experiments vitro cell demonstrated MSe-Res-BMMs were able protect neurons ferroptosis by reducing ROS levels increasing glutathione peroxidase-4 (GPx-4) activity. addition, treatment also reduced ROS-induced inflammation apoptosis decreasing expression inflammatory factor IL-1β apoptotic Cleaved Caspase-3 at site injury. Therefore, are expected provide new therapeutic options

The resistance of colorectal cancer (CRC) to conventional therapeutic modalities, such as radiation therapy and chemotherapy, along with the associated side effects, significantly limits effective anticancer strategies. Numerous epigenetic investigations have unveiled that naturally occurring stilbenes can modify or reverse abnormal alterations, particularly aberrant DNA methylation status, offering potential avenues for preventing treating CRC. By modulating activity machinery components, phytochemicals may influence various stages CRC carcinogenesis through multiple molecular mechanisms. Several studies, especially preclinical research, highlighted modulatory effects minimal adverse on organisms, in combination therapies However, available clinical data regarding commonly encountered against are currently limited. Therefore, additional research is warranted explore preventive these development validate their application prevention treatment This review aims provide an overview selected bioactive chemopreventive agents a focus mechanisms action, targeting alterations
