Abstract With growing research attention in artificial intelligence education (AIED), there is a profusion of systematic reviews that have investigated AI integration wide variety educational contexts, including PreK-12 schools and higher education. Even though existing explored effects on education, few studies synthesized the results those reviews. To fill this gap, we conducted scoping meta-review bibliometric analysis to map broad field AIED identify gaps based our analysis. Following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines, searched Scopus Web Science collected 126 review articles from 2014 Mid-August 2023 satisfied inclusion criteria. Specifically, used four criteria screening process: (1) article’s full text was available English; (2) article published peer-reviewed journals; (3) review; (4) focused use one or multiple context(s). Our findings revealed key characteristics included reviews, such as keyword co-occurrence network, co-authorship geographic distribution authorship, levels, subject areas. Three major themes related were generated, encompassing AI’s impact teaching, learning, administration. We also identified commonalities nuanced differences between along with areas been underexplored. study not only expanded understanding AIED, but provided suggestions how strengthen future research.
