Role of AI chatbots in education: systematic literature review

Abstract AI chatbots shook the world not long ago with their potential to revolutionize education systems in a myriad of ways. can provide immediate support by answering questions, offering explanations, and providing additional resources. Chatbots also act as virtual teaching assistants, supporting educators through various means. In this paper, we try understand full benefits education, opportunities, challenges, limitations, concerns, prospects using educational settings. We conducted an extensive search across academic databases, after applying specific predefined criteria, selected final set 67 relevant studies for review. The research findings emphasize numerous integrating seen from both students' educators' perspectives. found that students primarily gain AI-powered three key areas: homework study assistance, personalized learning experience, development skills. For educators, main advantages are time-saving assistance improved pedagogy. However, our emphasizes significant challenges critical factors need handle diligently. Perceptions and usage of AI chatbots among students in higher education across genders, academic levels and fields of study

Unmasking academic cheating behavior in the artificial intelligence era: Evidence from Vietnamese undergraduates

Abstract The proliferation of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has brought both innovative opportunities and unprecedented challenges to the education sector. Although AI makes more accessible efficient, intentional misuse chatbots in facilitating academic cheating become a growing concern. By using indirect questioning technique via list experiment minimize social desirability bias, this research contributes ongoing dialog on integrity era AI. Our findings reveal that students conceal AI-powered behaviors when directly questioned, as prevalence cheaters observed experiments is almost threefold basic direct approach. Interestingly, our subsample analysis shows differ significantly across genders grades, higher-grade female are likely cheat than newly enrolled students.
