Seeking academic help is a common practice for students to achieve success. Although there are some studies on help-seeking, current research has not fully examined this behavior from the perspective of first-generation college students. This study explores how perceive and engage in aiming understand factors that influence their attitudes behaviors seeking support. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 20 participants, guided by Theory Planned Behavior. The recorded transcribed, then analyzed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis. findings as follows: (1) Positive perception, (2) Negative (3) Social Expectations Pressures Help-Seeking, (4) Motivators (5) Inhibitors help-seeking. Most have favorable view help, but many associate it self-doubt concerns about peers' opinions. Subjective norms help-seeking shaped social expectations pressures, key influences coming family, teachers, peers. Motivation seek affects understanding needs, problem-solving urgency, confidence.
