Abstract The adoption of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) tools, such as ChatGPT, in higher education presents numerous opportunities and challenges. use GAI technologies various fields, including education, has accelerated technology develops. widely used language model developed by OpenAI, become progressively more important, especially the field education. This study employs acceptance to investigate factors influencing employment ChatGPT within sector Pakistan. employed PLS‐SEM method for probing data collected from 368 Pakistani university students. findings indicate that trust positively mediates affiliation between self‐efficacy, actual use, information interaction. Further, usefulness ease significantly moderate association self‐efficacy trust. Educators must encourage students safely preserve their critical thinking, problem‐solving abilities creativity during assessments. contributes understanding AI tools are educational settings provides insights administrators policymakers aiming implement these effectively.

One of the main challenges in higher education management is complexity resource optimization and increasing volumes data, which limits efficiency accuracy decision-making. The application artificial intelligence can address these issues. The present study aims to identify key trends, knowledge gaps, opportunities for further research into economic effects using ChatGPT tools education. For this purpose, a systematic literature review was conducted screen scientific articles related topic indexed Web Science Scopus from 1986 2024. A total 234 were selected, all demonstrating positive growth both scholarly output citation count. identified contributors on by region (the United States, China, India). It concluded that relevant centers are still at an early stage their development. Based bibliometric clusters formed co-occurrence relations, three areas defined: 1) decision-making; 2) process automation digital transformation educational institutions; 3) technologies highlights education, including reducing administrative costs, saving time teachers students, improving quality accessibility process. This investigation utilized a phenomenological approach to investigate the experience of English language educators in employing artificial intelligence (AI) tools into learning. The study used purposive sampling and 20 participants were interviewed. data analysis was guided by Bronfenbrenner’s (1979) ecological systems theory, particularly microsystem, exosystem, macrosystem. findings demonstrated that AI enable interactive, personalized, gamified learning experiences enhance student engagement, motivation, proficiency. also emphasized importance technological content knowledge pedagogical improving instructional methodologies. Challenges, including AI-related distractions reduced direct interaction between students, identified, necessitating balanced integration these despite inherent advantages. Furthermore, research underscored significance institutional support, which encompasses ongoing professional development technical assistance, facilitate successful education.

Generative artificial intelligence brings opportunities and unique challenges to nontraditional higher education students, stemming, in part, from the experience of digital divide. Providing access practice is critical bridge this divide equip students with needed competencies. This mixed‐methods study investigated how interact ChatGPT multiple courses examined relationships between interactions, engagement, self‐efficacy performance. Data were collected 73 undergraduate graduate through chat logs, course reflections artefacts, surveys interviews. interactions analysed using four metrics: prompt number, depth knowledge (DoK), relevance originality. Results showed that numbers ( β = 0.256, p < 0.03) engagement 0.267, 0.05) significantly predicted performance, while did not.
