This study aimed to analyze the effect of pollution caused by stone quarries on morpho-anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology a medicinal wild bramble Rubus plicatus Weihe & Nees. Samples were collected from two natural protected areas: Iron Gates Natural Park Jiu Gorge National Park, both located in southwestern part Romania, unpolluted areas these parks as background sites. We carried out following analyses leaves this taxon: morphology, micromorphology, anatomy, assimilating pigments, heavy metals (Pb, Ni, Cr, Fe), dry mass, bioactive compounds (total phenols flavonoids), antioxidant capacity. The results showed more stomata, higher amounts (especially lead), less phenols, flavonoids polluted compared without sources pollution. increased number stomata assimilator pigments revealed mechanisms developed species order survive conditions.

Air pollution is a severe problem in the modern world. Urbanization, industrialization, and traffic emit air pollutants such as carbon monoxide (CO), nitrous oxides (NOx), hydrocarbons (HCs), particulate matter into environment. Plants can absorb through stomata. They adversely affect various metabolic physiological processes of plant species. This review describes impact on health, morphologically, physiologically, genetically, tolerance ability plants located along roadside areas. Many morphological effects, like chlorosis, necrosis, leaf area, stomatal clogging, productivity, falling, reduction flower yield, are observed due to influence pollution. also damage DNA biochemicals plants, well pH, relative water content (RWC), simple sugar, ascorbic acid (AA), total chlorophyll (TCH), proline, polyamines. Some under stress mitigate with higher APTI values more tolerant pollution, while those lowest be used an indicator rate There much morphological, biochemical, noted this review. Different strategies diagnose effects future develop green belts pollution-stressed
