In order to understand the heavy metal contamination of soils around Quandian coal mine, Henan province China, soil samples mining area were collected and measured concentration (Zn, Mn, Pb, Cr, Cu), levels ecological risk evaluated using geo-accumulation index, enrich factor potential index.The results show that Zn, Cr Cu concentrations are 70.0~99.0mg/kg, 352.0~451.0mg/kg, 30.0~50.0 mg/kg, 34.5~68.0mg/kg 31.0~60.0mg/kg, mean values Pb exceed background values.According Igeo EF, Mn have uncontaminated minor enrichment levels, moderately contaminated moderate levels.The rank coefficient is > Zn Mn.The index 23.79, suggesting low comprehensive in samples.Pb account over 85% contribution RI, main polluting elements special attention should be paid on mine.
