Abstract This study analyzed the curvature and radius of in order to characterize an area affected by anthropogenic coal mining activities. The took place located Jiu Valley, Romania. 16 control points were considered (CP1 – CP16), for which quota values determined (X,Y,Z system) at moment analysis (T1) relation a reference (T0). differences calculated (XYZ) between moments T1 T0. Curvature (Curv) (RadC) calculated. Strong correlation was recorded Curv Z(T1-T0), r = -0.847***, Dg (diving ground), 0.847***, Ls (land slope), 0.891*** (*** p < 0.001). Weak RadC Y(T1-T0), 0.586***. Spline type mathematical models described variation curvature, Radius (XYZ values), under conditions respectively curvature. According multivariate analysis, PCA diagram resulted, PC1 explained 50.737% variance, PC2 49.263% variance. cluster generated dendrogram point CP16 positioned separately, other grouped based on similarity (Coph.corr 0.998). ranking points, parameters, done form Scaling dendrogram.

This study assessed heavy metal contamination in industrial solid waste (S1, S2, S3, and S4) from the Yangtze River Delta region, employing nine risk assessment methods including total content indices (e.g., Igeo, CF) speciation ICF, GCF). Four types of not classified as hazardous but containing metals were analyzed. Key findings revealed significant variability assessments based on chemical versus content. For example, while S1, S4 exceeded background levels, showed higher mobility Pb, Cr (VI), Cu, Ni, As despite lower overall Elements like Cd (VI) exhibited discrepancies between speciation-based due to low values high toxicity. Multi-element (DC, RI) indicated pollution degrees compared (GCF, GRI). These results underscore need for integrating multiple accurately evaluate environmental risks judicial practices.
