The ever-increasing demand for high-quality solutions drives research toward more sophisticated decision-making solutions. In the field of decision making, ability to solve complex real-world problems is paramount importance. To this end, fuzzy sets are used, which offer possibility incorporating uncertainty into values describing options. This study focuses on Pythagorean sets, an extension classical providing even tools modeling by presenting a distance measure these specific sets. A verification characteristics proposed has been carried out, proving its validity. characterized straightforward formula and thus simplifies calculations. Furthermore, confirm usability, multi-criteria methodology presented, results compared with two methods, namely, PF-TOPSIS PF-VIKOR, another previously presented in literature. comparative analysis highlights lower variability terms preference calculated using measure, confirms stability reliability newly while maintaining low computational complexity. Moreover, high correlation rankings ensures utility making.

Abstract The literature of multiple attribute decision making (MADM) is fruitful since there are various and successful applications different fuzzy set extensions such as intuitionistic, Pythagorean q‐Rung orthopair sets (IFS, PFS q ‐ROFS). Besides their powerful aspects, some definitional limitations known. In order to eradicate these boundaries regarding the definitions membership non‐membership degrees, linear Diophantine (LDFS) concept has been recently emerged. By considering two parameters, LDFS extends representation area previous provides more extensive human judgement coverage field. this study, first distance entropy measures in have developed for LDFSs. Soil erosion is a significant issue that threatens to soil in land degradation processes. The erodibility factor crucial tool for assessing the susceptibility of soils erosion. main aim this study was compare results obtained using Pythagorean Fuzzy-SWARA method which evaluates impact weights criteria considered micro-basins located district Çarşamba Samsun province, with formula developed by Wischmeier and Smith. To achieve case, 78 surface samples were collected from micro basins analyzed organic matter, clay, sand, silt, very fine degree structure, hydraulic conductivity parameters. then calculated these data, spatial distribution maps created both methods. In study, revised approach proposed calculate weight values criteria. 0.418 0.227 0.120 0.100 conductivity, 0.058 0.053 0.039 sand. determined linear combination approach, normalized all parameter standard scoring function. estimating erodibility, our found have relationship (R2 = 0.691 at 1% level) compared erodibility. Consequently, here suggests fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making methods can be an alternative determining factor.
