Summary Because soil erosion constrains agricultural productivity and overuse of soils exacerbates erosion, land use can only be sustained through the implementation evaluation. We studied five land-use scenarios including erosion-reducing terracing contour farming using ILSEN modelling. These scenarios’ rates loss were determined revised universal equation (RUSLE) method. found that all reduced compared to current study area; in non-agricultural use, was 4.25 times. The model is expected inform reduction geographies characterized by rugged topography.

Soil erosion in vineyards semi-arid lands is one of the major problems affecting crop productivity, and this issue becoming crucial Turkish with vulnerable structures Mediterranean region. Although there are several studies on viticulture, no evaluating condition productivity terms soil erosion. In study, main goal to estimate land loss (LPL) caused by water consequent (CLP) for agricultural fields vineyards, which significant hazardous consequences. For purpose, data derived revised universal equation (RUSLE) from Water Erosion Atlas Türkiye (2018) use CORINE were used. According study results, country had a an estimated 0.92% due erosion, approximately 1.84 times higher than that European Union countries. The LPL was at 1.07%, those results highlight estimation around 9.4 million dollars annually.
