Bio-slope engineering protection plays an important role in preventing soil erosion, enhancing slope stability, and improving water conservation capabilities. To establish a foundation for the preparation of modified bio-slope engineering, common gravel used was selected. Amendments such as peat water-retaining agents were then incorporated to support these preparations. This study examines influence content agent on soil’s moisture constants, infiltration coefficient, absorption capacity. Additionally, utilizing remote sensing technology, 20 rock cutting sites sprayed with vegetation monitored over 15-year period. The results suggest that addition aids augmenting available capacity speed soil, allowing it absorb retain substantial amount However, increases, wilting point improves, while coefficient increases. Based findings optimum proportion tests field spraying experiments, is recommended granular 80%, 20%, 1.0‰, aggregate fertilizer 100 g/m2. A comprehensive analysis spatial–temporal evolution characteristics cover area post-railway construction indicates this region wilted extensively only 2011 due drought. Subsequently, slopes has thrived, according proportion. research are considerable importance guiding design substrate railway construction.
