This study sought to asses drinking and irrigation water quality in the Dera Ismail (DI) Khan District, Pakistan with aid of using index (WQI) indices (IWQI). Seventy two samples were collected from various sources such as tube wells, dug hand pumps, streams, springs throughout DI district. The investigated physicochemical parameters include pH, TDS, EC, turbidity, total hardness, major cations (Na, K, Ca, Mg), anions (Cl, HCO3, SO4), heavy metals (Fe, Mo, Cr, Ni, Cu, Zn). IWQI used includes Kelly's ratio (KR), permeability (PI), sodium percent (Na%), Magnesium Hazard (MH), potential salinity (PS), residual carbonate (RSC), adsorption (SAR). With mean value 63, WQI revealed that most are placed good category, a smaller fraction excellent poor classes. On other hand, health risk assessment data pointed out molybdenum (Mo) chromium (Cr) concentrations could pose risks children concerned population. Rock weathering appears be dominant hydro-geochemical pathway controlling chemistry, Ca–Mg–HCO3 being facies, followed by Na–HCO3. (SAR), (RSC) had values higher than recommended threshold. use for agricultural fields may raise relevant ecological concerns studied

Abstract Water is the lifeblood of our Earth, and sustainable water consumption key to preserving this scarce resource for future generations upholding environmental sustainability. In study, we investigate relationship between knowledge (EK), policies regulations (EPR), attitudes toward management programs (APWRMP), perceived quality (PWQ), (SC), enriching existing literature by integrating theoretical framework theory planned behavior (TPB) alongside program (WMP) concepts. This integration forms a comprehensive model clarifying influences on SC. Furthermore, study investigates these relationships within specific context select regions in China, addressing geographical gap current literature. With sample size ( N = 336) participants, employ partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS‐SEM) explore complex proposed model. The finding confirms hypothesized associations, validating substantial positive impact EK EPR APWRMP Additionally, observe that PWQ notably strengthens link perception attitude villagers SC water. Our explains multifaceted dynamics underlying individuals' making decisions concerning consumption.

Abstract The aim of the present study was to assess drinking water quality in selected urban areas Lahore and comprehend public health status by addressing basic parameters. Total 50 tap samples were collected from groundwater two district i.e., Gulshan-e-Ravi (site 1) Samanabad 2). Water analyzed laboratory elucidate physico-chemical parameters including pH, turbidity, temperature, total dissolved solids (TDS), electrical conductivity (EC), oxygen (DO), hardness, magnesium calcium hardness. These used examine Quality Index (WQI) Synthetic Pollution (SPI) order characterize quality. Results th compared with World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines determine water. A GIS-based approach for mapping quality, WQI, SPI. revealed that average value DO both sites within WHO 23.5 °C, 7.7, 6.9 mg/L, respectively. TDS level site 1 192.56 mg/L (within guidelines) whereas, 2 it found 612.84 (higher than guidelines), Calcium hardness observed range 25.04 65.732 but, values higher guidelines. major reason poor is old, worn-out supply pipelines improper waste disposal areas. WQI as 59.66 77.30 2. showed classified “poor” “very “ There a need address problem also raise awareness about its associated impacts.
