Human-caused CO2 emissions are the primary cause of global warming. In this regard, determining most effective approach for lowering and collateral risk catastrophic natural disasters is crucial. This study examines long-run relationship between disaggregated renewable energy production carbon dioxide (CO2) per capita a panel 27 OECD countries from 1965 to 2020. The panel-autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) models pooled mean group (PMG), (MG), dynamic fixed effect (DFE) were used evaluate biofuel, aggregated geothermal biomass (GEOB), hydropower, nuclear, solar, wind. As robustness checks, fully modified ordinary least squares (FMOLS), (DOLS), common correlated effects (CCEMG) estimators used. Then, using generalized method moment (GMM) framework vector autoregression (PVAR), Granger non-causality was investigated. GEOB, wind found be negatively significantly with emissions. solar resources in reducing showed unidirectional causation emissions, bidirectional CO2, biofuel nuclear. findings consistent across different model specifications suggested faster transition order reduce enhance environmental sustainability.

In an era where energy transitions are critical for addressing climate change and ensuring economic stability, policy uncertainty (EGU) emerges as a crucial factor influencing consumption patterns. This study investigates the complex relationship between EGU various forms of consumption, including fossil fuels, renewables, total use across G7 countries from 1996 to 2022. Utilizing FMOLS (fully modified OLS) DOLS (dynamic ordinary models, long-term relationships among variables were established robustness was checked by employing ARDL (autoregressive distributed lag) model. Our findings reveal that significantly hampers fuel impedes renewable uptake, affects adversely. These effects underscore broader implications on strategies. Specifically, checks confirm these hold different model specifications periods. addition, analysis reveals dynamic impact control FDI inflow, institutional quality, banking development, inflation rates specific consumptions. Policy profound: governments must prioritize stabilization policies enhance investor confidence facilitate transition sustainable sources. Additionally, targeted interventions mitigate can promote development infrastructure support more predictable markets. provides new insights into impacts offers foundation strategic formulation aimed at achieving balanced future.

This study examines the dynamic relationships between digitalization, environmental tax revenues, and energy resource capacity within framework of Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC), focusing on their combined impact quality. It employs a cross-sectional augmented autoregressive distributed lag (CS-ARDL) approach, an advanced technique for complex panel data that is specifically designed to address issues dependence slope heterogeneity inherent in analysis. The research covers 88 countries, including both low- middle-income countries (LMICs) high-income (HICs), understand how as driving force Fourth Industrial Revolution, interacts with taxation management affect greenhouse gas emissions. results reveal distinct effects taxes quality, marked differences LMICs HICs. In HICs, technological progress, especially information communication technology (ICT), found contribute significantly For LMICs, are less evident, findings suggest need tailored strategies policy management. By providing empirical evidence differential impacts digitalization policies different economic contexts, this enriches economics discourse. highlights frameworks specific contexts effectively balance growth sustainable development goals, thereby insightful implications achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
