Introduction:
Cyprus
is
located
in
the
Eastern
Mediterranean
and
heavily
exposed
to
desert
dust
storm
(DDS)
events,
which
diminish
air
quality
adversely
impact
paediatric
asthma
morbidity.
School
health
visitors
(SHVs)
play
a
key
role
management
schoolchildren
are
pivotal
for
development
of
school‐based
intervention
programs.
Objectives:
This
study
aimed
examine
knowledge,
practices
perceptions
SHVs
on
management.
Additionally,
we
sought
determine
factors
associated
with
SHVs’
level
engagement
programs
mitigate
DDS‐associated
effects.
Methods:
An
anonymous
questionnaire
was
administered
all
Cyprus.
We
assessed
association
between
perceived
importance
real‐life
implementation
and,
addition,
preparedness
local
authorities
respond
DDS
events
were
compared
across
categories
different
sociodemographic
characteristics.
A
binary
logistic
regression
analysis
carried
out
predictors
among
supporting
program
DDS.
Results:
Responses
from
78/93
(84%)
revealed
mean
estimates
