Genetic polymorphism of B. nana along the Ural ridge is analyzed based on variability trn S -trn G, L F, T, K1 K2, and mat cpDNA markers with application RFLP method. Specimens pubescens were additionally taken for comparative analysis. The research revealed 12 chlorotypes in populations, among which A B most frequent. Polar Urals populations are characterized by prevailing chlorotype A, significantly decreased genetic (He = 0.169), low divergence (Fst 0.000–0.050), possibly associated Pleistocene Holocene migration processes, edge effect, specific ecological conditions arctic tundra. Middle show higher 0.296). Reduced gene flow between bog results high interpopulation (Gst 0.701, Nst 0.764). Shared haplotypes interspecific differentiation indicated (Gct 0.007, Nct 0.064). Flow cytometry homogeneous DNA content specimen (Serebryansky Kamen Sredneuralsk) a total 2C variation range 0.91–1.09 pg 1.85–2.10 absence triploid hybrids studied samples, suggests frequency occurrence latter and, possibly, northern localization these birch species hybridization zones.

DNA barcoding is an effective identification tool for tree ferns with heteromorphic generations morphologically simple gametophytic phase. A complete reference dataset which includes coverage of the target local flora necessary accurate identification. Three different Cyathea sp.pl. were investigated to test utility plastid barcode regions rbcL intention developing system native pteridophytes. In addition, inter-specific and inter-generic variations among also focused. BLAST analysis revealed similar sequences related C. nilgirensis Holttum, gigantea (Wallich ex Hook. f.) Holttum crinita (Hook.) Copel a sum 143 viz., (121), Gymnosphaera sp.pl.(4), Sphaeropteris (1) Alsophila (17). The plants retrieved from GenBank in FASTA format. aligned using multiple sequence alignment MUSCLE. distance percentage calculated Maximum Likelihood, Minimum Evolution, UPGMA (Unweighted Pair Group Method Arithmetic Mean) Neighbor-Joining method. analyses constructed MEGA X software. gene provided variation its strong resolving power. This study demonstrates overall effectiveness barcodes species fern genus pteridophyte Southern Western Ghats.

Abstract Background: Cinnamomum parthenoxylon is an important component of tropical Vietnam and has major ecological economic significance, which been threatened in recent decades due to the destruction its habitat overexploitation. Methods: In present study, first, three chloroplast DNA (cpDNA) regions ( matK, rbcL , trnH-psbA ) were initially examined identify C. species using Maximum Likelihood (ML). Then, genetic diversity analysis Song Hinh protection forest, Phu Yen Province, Vietnam. Results: The nucleotide sequences determined be 786bp, 513bp, 464bp, respectively. novel have deposited Genbank with matK (PQ106670-PQ106689), (PQ106690-PQ106709), (PQ1066710-PQ106729). revealed that mean base compositions T (34.8%, 28.3%, 30.4%), C (19.4%, 22.5%, 15.1%), A (29.1%, 26.6%, 39.8%), G (16.7%, 22.7%, 14.7%), each cpDNA regions, GC content was discovered significantly lower than AT content. According ML phylogenetic analyses, all samples forest are closely related GenBank, robust supporting values. Moreover, only 0.25% (2 haplotypes) showed polymorphism region, whereas 0.78% (4 region. most variable (3.44%) (16 intergenic region useful . variations moderate, average number differences (Kt = 1.042–4.984), haplotype (Hd 0.521–0.916), (Pi 1.33–10.74 × 10–3). Conclusions: results this study potential provide valuable information essential for classification, identification plant’s origin, propagation, conservation program
