The Philippine duck (Anas luzonica) is a vulnerable species, endemic to the Philippines. need of local people for food and land has led endangerment populations through illegal hunting conversion wetlands aquaculture farmland. This study was conducted determine willingness pay (WTP) residents (n = 500) in Maguindanao provinces conservation effects attitude knowledge toward duck, as well sociodemographic characteristics, on WTP. mean annual WTP USD 0.60, total estimated amount that could be collected 134 thousand when projected based number households provinces. A positive high increased conservation. Females, pet owners, those with higher income pledged than males, non-pet lower income. revealed are supportive by paying considerable amount. These results critical designing implementing outreach programs increasing awareness acquisition funds urgently needed protection remaining population area.
