Organisms

Aquatic
insects
are

by
watershed
peculiarities
due
their
dependence
on
microhabitat
conditions.
However,
these
relationships
poorly
understood
in
lotic
ecosystems
of
subtropical
grasslands,
limiting
water
resources
management
and
bioassessment
proposals.
Here,
we
investigated
how
stream
environment
variations
types
affect
the
assemblage
structure
a
bioindicator
insect
group,
face
spatial
proximity
sampled
locations.
We
immatures
Ephemeroptera,
Plecoptera,
Trichoptera
streams
along
Brazilian
Pampa
biome,
recording
descriptors
different
grassland
ecosystem
types.
The
aquatic
assemblages
differed
across
types,
with
specific
dominant
genera
associated
each
landscape.
Spatially-structured
physicochemical

variation

Our
findings
suggest
that

delimitations
capture
ecological
attributes,
influencing
features
important
EPT
structuration.
