Background: Parkinson’s disease (PD) has transitioned from a rare condition in 1817 to the fastest-growing neurological disorder globally. The significant increase cases 2.5 million 1990 6.1 2016, coupled with predictions of further doubling by 2040, underscores an impending healthcare challenge. This escalation aligns global demographic shifts, including rising life expectancy and growing population. economic impact, notably U.S., reached $51.9 billion 2017, projections suggesting 46% 2037, emphasizing substantial socio-economic implications for both patients caregivers. Coupled worldwide demand health workers that is expected rise 80 2030, we have fertile ground pandemic. Methods: Our transdisciplinary research focused on early PD detection through running speech continuous handwriting analysis, incorporating medical, biomedical engineering, AI, linguistic expertise. cohort comprised 30 participants, 20 at stages 1–4 Hoehn Yahr scale 10 healthy controls. We employed advanced AI techniques analyze correlation plots generated features, aiming identify prodromal biomarkers. Results: study revealed distinct patterns compared ParkinsonNet model demonstrated high predictive accuracy, F1 scores 95.74% 96.72% analyses. These findings highlight potential as effective biomarkers PD. Conclusions: integration decision support system analyzing presents promising approach detection. methodology not only offers novel diagnostic tool but also contributes broader understanding PD’s manifestations. Further required validate these larger, diverse cohorts integrate tools into clinical practice timely pre-diagnosis management.
