The number of infertile couples undergoing in vitro fertilisation (IVF) has increased significantly. efficacy this procedure is contingent upon a multitude factors, including gamete quality. One factor influencing quality oxidative stress, which leads to telomere damage and accelerates cellular ageing. Identifying new biomarkers that can predict the success assisted reproduction techniques current relevant area research. In review, we discuss potential role SIRT1, protein known protect against stress telomeres, are responsible for genome stability, as technique outcomes.
