Abstract
In
the
present
work,
new
borosilicate
glasses
were
prepared
to
examine
their
radiation
shielding
characteristics,
focusing
on
role
of
increased
Bi
2
O
3
concentration
different
parameters
as
determined
by
Phy-X
software.
At
0.296
MeV,
mass
attenuation
coefficient
was
found
be
0.105
cm
/g
for
free-Bi
glass,
and
it
0.266
sample
with
15
mol%
.
The
linear
(LAC)
investigated
in
0.0395–1.460
MeV
energy
range.

work
investigates
the
impact
of
BaO,
PbO
2
,
and
Gd
O
3
on
newly
developed
borate
glasses’
radiation
shielding
characteristics.
The
transmission
factor
(TF)
glasses
is
almost
zero
at
low
energy
0.0395
MeV,
which
indicates
favorable
low-energy
photon
shielding.

TF
reported
1.46
MeV
for
free
glass
sample,
ranging
from
0.89

cm
thickness)
to
0.73
(1.5
thickness).

enhancement
