Originally suggested fluorescent biological markers, they are now discovering new applications analytical chemistry owing to their promising optical, structural, and electrical properties. Carbon dots have attracted a lot attention lately because sustainability, strong biocompatibility, water solubility, low cost manufacture, superior chemical stability. Two main methods used synthesize carbon dots; first method top-down technique, while second bottom-up technique.
