Solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) for symmetrical supercapacitors are proposed herein with activated carbon as electrodes and optimized solid electrolyte membranes, which serve the separators electrolytes. We propose design of a low-cost consisting guanidinium nitrate (GuN) poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP). Using solution casting approach, blended varying GuN weight percentage ratios PVP PEO prepared. On electrolytes, structural, morphological, vibrational, ionic conductivity investigated. The electrolytes’ morphology level roughness examined using an FESEM. interlinking bond formation between polymers salt is verified by FTIR measurements, indicating that ligands chemically complex. found that, up to 20 wt.% GuN, value increased (1.84 × 10−6 S/cm) increase in mobile charge carriers. Notably, PVP/PEO/20 was fabricated into solid-state supercapacitor device, delivered potential window 0 2 V, superior energy density 3.88 Wh kg−1, power 1132 W kg−1.
