Abstract Background County-level barriers (sociodemographic barriers, limited healthcare system resources, accessibility irregular seeking behaviors, low vaccination history) may impact individuals’ reasons for receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. Methods This study linked data from REACH-US (Race-Related Experiences Associated with and Health in United States), a nationally representative, online survey of 5475 adults living U.S (January-March 2021) to county-level Vaccine Coverage Index. were measured using Participants reported why they would or not receive vaccine an open-ended item their responses coded thematic analysis. Descriptive statistics chi-square tests assessed whether intentions varied by these distributions across racial/ethnic groups. Results Thematic analysis revealed twelve themes participants’ Themes societal responsibility (9.8% versus 7.7%), desire return normal (8.1% 4.7%), trust science/healthcare/government (7.7% 5.1%) more frequently counties low/medium (versus high/very high) (p-values < 0.05). Background Upstream factors have been found to affect COVID-19 vaccination rates and coverage globally. However, there are inadequate details within the African context. This systematic review aims close this research gap by investigating upstream influencing in Africa. Methods A literature search will be systematically conducted utilizing various databases including: MEDLINE, EMBASE, SCOPUS, CINAHL, Web of Science, PsycINFO. Eligible studies include peer-reviewed articles published English language from 2020–2023, Africa, focused on factors, one barrier or facilitator rates. Two reviewers use a two-step screening process examine every article’s title, abstract, full text. third-party reviewer resolve disagreements between both individual reviewers. focus extracting data explain included their impact across Data records managed using Covidence. Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses [PRISMA] framework used as basis reporting. To reduce bias, researchers Mixed Appraisal Tool assess chosen review. Results compiled four tables summarize group determinants based Consolidated Framework Implementation Research (CFIR). Mexican-origin youth, as a large and growing population among U.S. have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19. Understanding what, when, how sociocultural factors may influence their COVID-19 vaccine uptake could inform current future pandemic-response interventions promoting vaccination behaviors youth. The study takes developmental approach to reveal the long-term short-term antecedents of 198 adolescents' explores underlying mechanism these associations based on Knowledge-Attitude-Behavior model. adopted Wave 1 (2012–2015) 4 (2021–2022) self-reported data from larger study. Analyses were conducted examine four mediation models for antecedents—daily discrimination, ethnic foreigner stress, family economic stress—separately. Consistent indirect effects higher levels concurrent risk lower probability observed occur through less knowledge about vaccines positive attitudes toward at 4. Abstract Objective To estimate COVID-19 vaccine intention, uptake, and hesitancy among essential workers. Methods A cross-sectional survey of USDA-certified organic producers. An electronic was used for data collection. Analyses included descriptive statistics, χ 2 tests, ordinal logistic regressions. Results The dataset consisted 273 records. While 63% respondents had received at least 1 dose vaccine, only 17% the recommended minimum doses. More than two-thirds unvaccinated individuals indicated no plan to receive limited perception necessity. They concerns about side effects a distrust vaccines government. Age, education level, acreage, region, health insurance status were variables significantly associated with number doses received. Conclusions Interventions encourage vaccination may target farmers who are less educated, live alone or just one other person, lack insurance, run larger farms. also suggest focusing on enhancing trust in science Theory-based approaches that address low risk severity be more likely effective this population. State-level COVID-19 vaccination rates among older adults have been uneven in the United States. Due to immunocompromised nature of adults, vaccine hesitancy increases risk morbidity and mortality. This study aims determine association between social determinants health, structural Secondary data from Health Retirement Study (HRS) dataset were used. A descriptive analysis multinomial multivariable logistic regression performed examine independent variables—gender, age, race, immigration status, marital broadband internet access, security income, Medicare coverage, education, frequency religious service—with dependent variable, hesitancy. Compared respondents with no without specific predictor, who reported attendance at least once/week more likely be “somewhat hesitant”, divorced had higher odds being aged 65–74 years “very hesitant” or about vaccine. females a “little African Americans Addressing these factors may limit barriers uptake improve herd immunity population.

The development of vaccines has long been viewed as a critical public health tool to raise immunity against the COVID-19 virus and reopen economic activities globally. Against this background, study examines impact vaccinations on outcomes mental services in U.S. We employed Household Pulse Survey covering 549, 950 57, 892 vaccinated unvaccinated individuals, respectively. For causal analysis, we control differences between groups using propensity score matching (PSM) augmented inverse probability weighting (AIPW) methods. Economic include whether individuals work on-site, telework or from home, in-store shopping, job loss, food sufficient. also consider experience distress receive potential outcome. empirical results show that working sufficiency, are significantly higher among recipients than non-recipients. find likelihood teleworking loss decreased vaccine compared magnitude estimated across race ethnic is mixed, which shows vaccination effects heterogeneous races/ethnic sample.

Barriers to immunization include language, visa status, and access medical care. Additionally, vaccine hesitancy, mistrust, misinformation contributed low uptake. Methods: A community needs assessment was conducted with workers ( n = 9) stakeholders 15) in rural areas of Maryland Delaware. In-depth interviews were recorded, transcribed verbatim, analyzed using template analysis. Results: The participants named trusted untrusted sources, sources misinformation, barriers accessing information physical locations receive the as reasons for not getting vaccine. Trusted included known leaders television programs. Some mentioned fear deportation, lack paid time off, language barriers, difficulty navigating U.S. healthcare system. Discussion: There is a need culturally-tailored programs that address use community-based programming.
