Hydrazone compounds are susceptible to nucleophilic attacks of anions such as fluoride or cyanide due their tendency toward deprotonation hydrogen bonded nitrogen atom in the structure and found applications ion sensors. In this work, from condensation reaction 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine, phenolic hydrazone compound was obtained following substitution with 4-nitrobenzenesulfonyl chloride studied synthesize a new elongated conjugation. Structures synthesized were accomplished 1H NMR, 13C NMR an UV-Vis absorption spectroscopic techniques. According data, maximum shift bathochromically ca. 120 nm presence fluoride, cyanide, acetate hydroxide anions.
