This work investigates the applicability of clinoptilolite, a natural zeolite, as low-cost adsorbent for removing chromium from aqueous solutions using fixed bed studies. To improve its removal performance inorganic pollutant, is pretreated with NaCl to prepare it in homoionic form Na+ before undertaking ion exchange Cr3+ solution. also evaluates if treated effluents could meet required effluent discharge standard set by legislation target pollutant. sustain cost-effectiveness wastewater treatment, spent regenerated NaOH. It was found that clinoptilolite has two-times higher Cr adsorption capacity (4.5 mg/g) than as-received (2.2 mg/g). Pretreatment enabled treat more volume (BV) (64 BV) at breakthrough point 0.5 mg/L concentration and achieve longer time (1500 min) first run, compared (32 BV; 250 min). suggests pretreatment rendered Na+. Although an initial 10 mg/L, were still unable limit less 0.05 US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Abstract Nanohybrid metal–organic frameworks (MOF) have recently been considered next-generation catalysts regarding their unique features like large surface-to-volume ratio, tailorable geometry, uniform pore sizes, and homogeneous distribution of active sites. In this report, we address the triazine-aminopyridine-modified 3D Cr-centred MOF MIL-101(Cr)-NH 2 following a post-synthetic modification approach. The excellent chelating ability triazine-aminopyridine was applied to immobilize Ni ions over host matrix MOF. as-synthesized material physicochemically characterized using various analytical techniques FT-IR, electron microscopy, EDS, elemental mapping, XRD, ICP-OES. Subsequently, has catalytically employed in synthesizing new thiourea derivatives by reacting nitrobenzene phenyl isocyanate. catalyst isolated centrifugation recycled 6 consecutive runs without momentous loss its reactivity.

Exploration of high-efficiency stabilization and abundant source-conjugated polymers semiconductor materials with suitable molecular orbital energy levels has always been a hot topic in the field photocatalytic hydrogen evolution (PHE) from water splitting. In recent years, constructing intramolecular donor–acceptor (D–A)-conjugated architecture copolymers proved as one most excellent photocatalyst modification tactics for optimizing PHE properties because unique advantages, including easy regulate band-gap position, fast transfer charge carrier architecture, superior sunlight absorption capacity range, large interfacial areas, so forth.
