Polymer nanocomposites (PNCs) composed of biopolymers and metallic oxides are important classes materials. In addition to the environmental economic considerations, these materials became best candidates for various industrial fields. current study, solution cast procedure is used prepare polymer based on polyethylene glycol (PEG)/chitosan (CS) blend varying concentrations tungsten trioxide nanoparticles (WO3 NPs), as a nanofiller. TEM micrograph shows that WO3 NPs have particle sizes 5–32 nm their shapes cubic spherical. The XRD results reveal semicrystalline PEG/CS through showing three distinct diffraction peaks at 2θ = 7.42°, 19.47° 23.62° degree crystallinity decreased after incorporation due formation polymer-nanoparticle interactions indicated by FTIR spectra. values optical energy bandgap (direct indirect) reduce while Urbach increases with raising concentration in matrix. PEG/CS-WO3 films' PL spectra show photoemission peak about 387 nm, where this loses intensity becomes broader induced defects increase disordering within nanocomposite films. Additionally, dielectric investigation an constant, loss, AC electrical conductivity, which may be sign charge carriers content amorphous regions assists movement carriers. DC conductivity conduction mechanism also reported. Argand plot half semicircle implying Debye-type relaxation mechanism. experimental suggest use possible contender futuristic storage optoelectronic applications.
