The investment casting process, also known as lost-wax casting, is widely used for producing ferrous and non-ferrous metal parts due to its excellent surface finish dimensional accuracy. In recent years, the use of Co-Cr-Mo alloy has increased high corrosion resistance, good biocompatibility, relatively wear resistance. Laser melting materials been demonstrated refine grain structure, reduce roughness, improve both ability fine-tune parameters such laser power density scanning speed facilitates optimization treated layers’ thickness homogeneity, thereby addressing many shortcomings inherent in conventional methods. This study investigates microstructural, mechanical bioactive behavior investment-cast subjected a Nd:YAG treatment. effects different processing were analyzed quantitatively comprehensively. specimens characterized using metallographic techniques, bioactivity evaluation, electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), testing (Pin-on-Disk), hardness testing. Our results demonstrate that significantly enhances properties maintains accuracy complex biomedical components, through microstructural refinement, hardness, improved preserved biocompatibility. specific combination with precisely controlled modification represents significant advancement improving longevity performance implants.
