Abstract Mental health is inherently multidimensional, requiring a holistic approach to intervention that integrates various aspects of an individual’s well-being. Spirituality, vital component mental health, remains under addressed in Australian healthcare. Spiritual care practitioners may play key role addressing spiritual needs healthcare; however, their roles and contributions this context remain unexplored the extant literature. Bridging gap, study explores potential within context. Using qualitative research approach, engaged eight experienced working settings across Australia (n = 8). Through reflexive thematic analysis, identified examined practitioners’ perspectives on contributions. While evidence demonstrates strong connections between spirituality and/or religion outcomes, little is known about care in ambulance services or its impact. Abstract A longitudinal qualitative study was conducted to explore the experiences of church leaders (10 priests, pastors, and pastors’ wives) who provided disaster spiritual/emotional care (DSEC) island Puerto Rico during a period intense repeated crises from 2017 2022.
