In the past ten years, research on water contamination has given considerable attention to nanomaterials. Their unique benefits—most notably, their greater surface areas in comparison macro particles and versatility through functional group modification—are what are driving this interest. Because of these characteristics, nanoparticles very efficient sorbents. The removal many contaminants from groundwater, such as cations, organic pollutants, natural matter, biological contaminants, nitrates, arsenic, been achieved widespread adoption nanofiltration technology. Meanwhile, nano-sorbents nano-membranes, which utilized for filtering purification, have emerged key components treatment.
