Genome-wide analysis of Bemisia tabaci Asia II-1 unravelled for the first-time full-length sequences 14 chemosensory proteins (CSPs), their exon-intron boundaries, insertion sites retrotransposons, and clustering patterns on chromosomes. All CSPs sans CSP6 have an N-terminal signal peptide. The presence OS-D superfamily PhBP domains in different suggests roles transduction pheromone binding. Motif reveals conservation cohesiveness hemiptera. phylogenetic uncovers evolutionary lineages Hemipteran CSPs. RT-qPCR showed spatial expression body tissues B. adults. In-silico docking high-affinity binding CSP 1 5 with two insecticides, imidacloprid fipronil, energy values ranging from − 5.8 to -9.3 kcal/mol, along details interacting aminoacidic residues hydrophobic pockets these Further functional validation was done through insecticide bioassays RNAi. This study provides novel insights into genomic architecture II-1, characterisation that CSP1 genes may indirect resistance. It lays foundation further research developing new control strategies tabaci.

Whitefly, Bemisia tabaci is a globally recognized invasive cryptic pest species complex and primary vector for 90% of begomoviruses. Understanding the composition diversity within B. essential developing effective management strategies. The Asia II 1 genetic group notably widespread in India across Asia, demonstrating significant diversity. Our study investigates haplotype using mtCOI barcoding gene, analyzing 676 sequences from various Asian countries 190 India. We identified 241 distinct haplotypes with highest China (Hd: 1.000) lowest Vietnam 0.667). Nucleotide peaked Pakistan (pi: 0.0145) was 0.0010). In India, we 77 0.926 nucleotide 0.0076. When grouped by hostplant families, 79 were recorded, Cucurbitaceae Solanaceae. findings suggest that hostplants geographical location significantly influence development, offering novel insights into 1's structure evolution. This marks first comprehensive
