Trace elements play significant biological roles that drive life and can be affected by the deleterious effects of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) is a combination several therapies have potential to improve quality individuals with HIV infection. The aim this study was evaluate plasma trace HIV-positive on HAART. A total 196 participants were recruited for study, including 126 patients HAART, 35 non-HAART patients, HIV-negative subjects. status element levels determined using standard procedures. results showed zinc, selenium, iron in HAART significantly higher (p<0.05) than those (control group 1) but lower control 2. Additionally, these male compared their female counterparts. In conclusion, suggests has positive influence blood serum metabolism patients.
