Oxytocin play a crucial physiological role in regulating feed consumption and maintaining energy homeostasis. Numerous studies have highlighted the influence of central dopaminergic systems on appetite control; however, there is lack information regarding their interaction with food intake regulation avian species. Consequently, present study aimed to investigate potential interplay between oxytocin modulating broiler chicks. In initial experiment, various doses (2.5, 5, 10 µg) saline were administered via intracerebroventricular (ICV) injection ascertain effective dosage oxytocin. The second experiment involved ICV injections saline, SCH23390 (a D1 receptor antagonist), identified dose oxytocin, co-injection Subsequent experiments (3 7) followed similar methodology, substituting AMI-193 D2 NGB2904 D3 l-741,742 D4 6-hydroxydopamine neurotoxin), l-DOPA dopamine precursor), respectively. Cumulative was measured over period 120 min post-injection. findings revealed that administration significantly reduced broilers compared control group (P < 0.05). Additionally, co-infusion alongside mitigated hypophagic effect induced by contrast, AMI-193, NGB2904, l-741,742, did not exhibit any significant oxytocin-induced hypophagia ≥ These suggest anorexigenic may be primarily mediated through receptors broilers.

The poultry industry stands as a cornerstone in securing global food stability, both the present and foreseeable future. To continue to uphold this critical role, exploration of innovative, low-input feed sources is imperative. Hemp emerges promising candidate, offering locally sourced ingredients that not only reduce costs but also maintain high nutritional standards for livestock. This study delved into utilisation whole hemp seeds diet 100 Naked-neck Kabir chicks were divided randomly two dietary groups, one fed control (CTRL) deprived soybean meal with 10% inclusion Carmagnola (HEMP). Birds slaughtered at 81 days age. Physicochemical characteristics breast, thigh, liver, besides antioxidant content lipid oxidative status, investigated. HEMP birds exhibited higher daily weight gain final live compared CTRL group. Results revealed improvements fatty acid profiles group, leading good levels key nutrients such α-tocopherol, retinol, n-3 polyunsaturated acids. These findings underscore potential ingredient, standing poised sustainable ally fortifying productive chain.
