ABSTRACT Interbasin water diversion project has been considered as an effective way to assure resource system sustainability. In order assess the impacts of on sustainability, we propose a framework in terms reliability, resilience, and vulnerability. The estimated availability from hydrological models projected demand are input allocation model. model allocates two available sources (i.e., local diverted water) water‐receiving areas. differences allocated resources between these figured out quantify area Bailong River Water Diversion Project, located Gansu, China, was selected case study. results show that compared reference planning years, runoff future years will be reduced, while their demands almost increase under all scenarios. Although current designed scheme is increasing there still potential for resilience through optimizing scheme. Further, more unfavorable supply conditions are, larger space This study can help understand sustainability changing environment.

Introduction China's environmental policies and the green transformation of its industries have attained paramount significance in wake intensifying climate change soaring carbon emissions, critically shaping sustainable development at both national international scales. As exploration drivers outcomes this revolution on emissions gains traction as a focal point research, study endeavors to assess effects their underlying causes. Methods Utilizing systems thinking methodology, dynamic spatial Durbin model was constructed, analyzing statistical data spanning from 2004 2021, encompassing 30 Chinese provinces. Results significantly influences distribution patterns across various regions. Discussion Environmental Protection investment has been effective curbing local businesses, yet it may also prompt relocation these businesses neighboring provinces, inadvertently elevating emissions. Green innovation adoption energy technologies proven instrumental reducing region, with positive spillover extending nearby areas. The analysis further underscores inertia indicating that achieving reduction is process requiring consistent sustained efforts over long term. findings offer valuable insights recommendations for government devising implementing align dual-carbon target, aiming achieve greener more future.

ABSTRACT Morocco's shift toward sustainable development still lacks a coherent strategic framework and explicit direction. Therefore, this study aims to develop an integrated for the implementation of effective green growth strategies development. Thirty‐two indicators were identified categorized into five groups: environmental, social, governance, financial variability, technological innovation. The fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) was used assess rank main their subindicators. Furthermore, within study, we developed nine solutions VlseKriterijuska Optimizacija I Komoromisno Resenje (FVIKOR) approach employed evaluate proposed solutions. FAHP results revealed that innovation factors are most pivotal among primary categories. Among subfactors, transparency disclosure received top ranking, followed by social community engagement market volatility. FVIKOR indicated promoting in Morocco include improving methods, issuing bonds, increasing shareholder engagement. This research provides essential insights developing foster Morocco, thereby aiding progress performance. It also offers practical guidance policymakers identifying priority areas transparency, expanding finance, enhancing stakeholder accelerate efforts.

ESG metrics have become increasingly important in evaluating corporate sustainability and meeting regulatory expectations. Thus, it is essential to explore these elements for a clearer understanding. This study examined the environmental (E), social (S), governance (G) scores across various sub-sectors of energy industry. Using systems thinking creating shared value (CSV) approaches, research investigated whether performance varies significantly among how changes one pillar might influence others. Data from 576 companies Thomson Reuters EIKON database were analyzed using ANOVA, correlation, multiple regression. The results revealed distinct differences sub-sectors, with practices often reinforcing each other. However, showed weaker influence, highlighting need further on frameworks clarify underlying reasons integrate better other pillars. has specific implications strategic management provided recommendations studies.

Complexities in water, energy, and food (WEF) governance provide varied systems pathways that shape welfare outcomes. The biggest question relates to the scale complexities resource management governance, which reaches a certain equilibrium achieve maximum benefits. This is proposition assessed this study sought compare WEF outcomes of jurisdictions under Water User Associations (WUAs) Catchment Partnerships (CPs). used multi-stage purposively sampled cross-sectional survey 1184 households from Greater Taung Magareng Local Municipalities (Vaalharts Association) Matatiele Municipality (uMzvimvubu Partnership) South Africa. Household Insecurity Experiences, Multi-Dimensional Energy Poverty Index Food In-Access Scale, Min-Max normalization Propensity Score Matching were analyze data. There was association between jurisdiction level security. Households WUA experienced 13.8%, 6.8% 9.3% higher levels insecurity, respectively. concludes CP had security, with or lack thereof resulting Therefore, larger not always lekker. recommends either (i) scaling down and/or (ii) diversifying by increasing breadth scope stakeholders within WUA. should be integrated an evaluation ascertain any impact on
