The objective of this study identifies the effective Beauveria bassiana and Metarhizium anisopliae fungi as soybean pest control agents compared chemical in was to compare effectiveness with insecticides secticides. The experimental designed randomized complete block design 4 treatments: B1: Control, B2: & (50 g/L) weekly, B3: (100 weekly B4: Triazophos + Abamectin chemicals. The results showed efficacy biocontrol for insect pests.Statistical analysis plant height, pod number, seed weight, damage revealed significant differences among treatments.Notably, at 50 g/ha significantly increased weight per (P < 0.05), while 100 treatment maximized harvest numbers 0.05).However, both fungal treatments exhibited no impact on population control. This may be attributed spray application timing, coinciding high morning sunlight, potentially affecting conidia viability.Despite inconclusive control, fungi-treated groups demonstrated enhanced growth yield parameters, suggesting their potential sustainable environmentally friendly management alternatives.Further research is warranted optimize strategies maximize against pests.

Within the context of ecofriendly alternatives to neonicotinoids, we explored direct and endophytic potential two Beauveria bassiana isolates, GHA from BotaniGard new endemic isolate GxABT-1, against Sugar Beet Mild Yellow Virus (BMYV)-Myzus persicae pathosystem. A mortality rate 96 91% was registered after 8 days treatment with Gx-ABT-1, respectively. To assess impact, sugar beet seeds were treated, ability fungi colonize plant assessed correlated aphids’ (1) life cycle, (2) attraction towards plants, (3) transmit BMYV. Both colonized GxABT-1 impaired cycle. Myzus more attracted leaf discs non-treated plants than fungal-treated ones. Interestingly, when choice test dealt only fungal treatments, aphids leaves harboring Gx-ABT-1 those GHA. Moreover, no significant impact observed for BMYV transmission despite slight decrease in viral load isolate-treated plants. Our findings constitute a baseline delve into performance B. other pathosystems using different methods.

Cereal production is vital for food security and economic growth, but insect infestations can significantly reduce crop yields quality, leading to substantial losses. Recent pest management strategies in cereal crops have incorporated innovative techniques, such as utilizing mutualistic plant-microbe interactions that trigger molecular defense mechanisms against pests. Entomopathogenic fungi, particularly Beauveria Metarhizium (Hypocreales), are naturally found soil infect a wide range of arthropod These fungi also colonize plants rhizosphere inhabitants endophytes, offering multiple benefits, including enhanced growth resistance. As these promote plant biomass herbivore development, consumption, oviposition, survival the field. Species like bassiana anisopliae shown potential controlling both chewing sap-sucking pests major cereals wheat, rice, maize, sorghum. However, exact through which control endophytes not yet fully understood. This review summarizes biological entomopathogenic fungi-plant their role control, exploring how could be integrated into discussing challenges application. Future research should focus on understanding adaptive enable function endophytic genetics influence improve suppression. By uncovering mechanisms, we enhance effectiveness fungi-based contributing more sustainable crops.

The date palm, Phoenix dactylifera L., is an ancient and valuable tree that provides food other products. palm trees are attacked by several pests, including the red weevil, which devastating to plantations. Knowledge of functionality entomopathogenic fungi, Beauveria bassiana (Balsamo) Vuillemin (Hypocreales: Cordycipitaceae) species, in trunk critical for controlling weevil pests. goal this study was assess movement fungus, B. bassiana, within tree. Each log further dissected four quarters examine present fungus. appearance detection fungal spores at different heights from point injection revealed translocation trunk. samples taken locations where color could be visible, distance traveled measured. injected tissue cultured on PDA media laboratory, confirmed. found surviving all treated trees. survival rate isolate BbSA-4 averaged 70.5%, 34.9%, 13.9% trunks examined days, respectively, after injection. The range of interactions between Cladosporium, an ubiquitous fungal genus, and insects, a class including about 60% the animal species, is extremely diverse. broad case history antagonism mutualism connecting Cladosporium insects reviewed in this paper based on examination available literature. Certain strains establish direct with pest or beneficial indirectly influence them through their endophytic development plants. Entomopathogenicity often connected to production toxic secondary metabolites, although there where these compounds have been reported favor pollinators attraction, suggesting important role angiosperm reproduction. Other relationships include mycophagy, which other hand may reflect ecological advantage for adaptable fungi using as carriers spreading environment. Several species colonize insect structures, such galleries ambrosia beetles, leaf-rolls attelabid weevils galls formed by cecidomyid midges, playing still uncertain symbiotic role. Finally, occurrence gut several has intriguing implications management, also considering that some proven be able degrade insecticides.
