Compared with the attention of large reservoirs, water quality small reservoirs also needs attention. In recent years, problem reservoir has become increasingly serious. How to predict may be an urgent solved. Taking Yangmeiling as example, this paper collects hydrological and data in last ten analyzes relationship between data, uses a machine learning method simulate data. The results show that can simply linked predicted through high simulation accuracy. This popularized prediction reservoirs; it does not provide theoretical basis for management reservoirs.

Abstract The variations in soil erosion significantly impact regional ecological security. Under rapid urbanisation, extensive restoration and climate change, development the red region of southern China is ambiguous. Therefore, this study investigated current (1980s–2020) future (2050) characteristics a typical control catchment (Changting section catchment) by using Cellular Automata Markov model CMIP6 data to predict scenarios Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation estimate erosion. results showed significant changes vegetation coverage major land uses from 1980s 2020, which was mainly caused continuous water conservation (SWC). use subtypes that were obtained reclassifying based on threshold cover control, reflect transformation those with poor SWC effectiveness great effectiveness. estimated intensity continued decrease contribution use/land (LULC) impacts ranged 74%–195%. However, predictions indicated LULC may be stable after 2020; thus, changed little when almost unchanged 2050. change scenarios, increase 111%–121%, precipitation 63%–66%. driving factor shift 2020. future, potential for reducing limited, more engineering measures should applied address risk changes. Southern Gansu Plateau (SGP), located in the northeastern region of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, is a representative alpine-cold water source area for China's large rivers, such as Yellow River and Yangtze River. Identifying contributions dominant factors to regional soil erosion rate (A) important understanding environmental processes benefits conservation, although related studies have seldom been conducted regions SGP. Accordingly, main objectives this study are (1) determine spatiotemporal dynamics its driving SGP area; (2) quantify relationship between influential erosion; (3) separate above variations on The multiyear average A was calculated 24.18 t·hm−2·a−1, corresponding an overall low intensity erosion. various time-varying factors, rainfall, vegetation cover, conservation practices, reduction were −20.01%, 81.07%, 21.95%, respectively, indicating that improvement land surface ecology dominated decrease under background climate warming. findings expected contribute river regions.

Research on forest ecosystem service (ES) assessments is currently a topic of much interest in ecology combined with geography. Forests are the mainstay terrestrial ecosystems and provide wide range welfare supports for humans. Pinus massoniana (PM) Lamb. major silvicultural timber species southern China plays an important role meeting domestic demand as well providing ESs. The assessment ESs PM plantation forests beneficial their sustainable management. In this study, we used woody biomass method, InVEST water content model USLE, generalized soil loss equation to assess values four Ess, including wood supply, carbon sequestration oxygen release, conservation, plantations Guangxi Paiyangshan Forest Farm, which national seed base. A spectral clustering method was identify clusters (i.e., partitions) case study area, certain strategies were provided different partitions form management strategy ecosystems. This showed that value each ES per hectare northern tropical pine plantation, ranked from largest smallest, conservation; release; supply; supply addition release increasing age plantation. Based characteristics within clusters, area divided into ecological nourishment restoration areas, can focus more nourishment.

Abstract The problem of soil and water loss on slope land has always been one the key issues that people pay attention to. How to reasonably arrange tree species planting methods can effectively improve current situation erosion. Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) model is a widely used erosion prediction model, but it does not consider impact height crown size In this paper, six experimental plots conservation were carried out forest in southern China. Six planted with different trees, all kinds data collected for 3 years. On basis analysis machine learning methods, found have significant erosion, no runoff formation. With growth amount each plot gradually decreases. At same time, an improved RUSLE related established, which high simulation effect (R2 testing reaches 0.6775, R2 0.5452).
