One of the most critical problems throughout world is air pollution, causing death millions individuals annually, and it reported that 90% global population breathes polluted air. Among components harmful ones are heavy metals, which can remain non-degraded in nature for a long time, bio-accumulate living organisms, be toxic or carcinogenic at low concentrations. Hence, monitoring reducing metal pollution high-priority research topics. Heavy metals accumulate within various organs plants grown an environment with increased level pollution. The analyses on these provide insight into In present study, concentrations aluminum (Al), one important were determined different five plant species regions traffic densities. Remarkable changes observed Al all species, examined here by organ density. highest values obtained from no-traffic regions.

Natural-based corrosion inhibitors have gained great research interest thanks to their low cost and higher performance. The Cupressus arizonica fruit essential oil (CAFEO) has a extraction yield than leaves; however, it less antibacterial antifungal activities. three main components in the CAFEO were α-pinene (51.07%), myrcene (17.92%), limonene (9.66%). Essential oils with percentage of found outstanding inhibition properties. Therefore, herein, was investigated as green inhibitor for carbon steel (CS) 1.0 mol/L HCl using electrochemical, i.e., potentiodynamic polarization (PDP) electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), scanning electron microscope (SEM) techniques. experimental results revealed that successfully inhibited solution. Results from PDP indicated had mixed-type effect predominance cathodic character. EIS data showed charge transfer resistance CS electrode increased 20.9 Ω cm2 blank solution 294.5 0.5 g/L at 298 K, leading significant decrease double layer capacitance values an efficiency (η%) 93%. high temperatures negative on tested inhibitor. At 323 η% decreased 77%. Besides, SEM images formed protective barrier against acid attack, preventing corrosion. Theoretical calculations by Density Functional Theory (DFT) performed investigate reactivity CAFEO.
