Since the turn of twenty first century, economic policy uncertainty (EPU) and geopolitical risk (GPR) have escalated across globe. These two factors both environmental impacts. However, there exists dearth literature that expounds impact EPU GPR on degradation. This study, therefore, probes ecological footprint (proxy for degradation) in selected emerging economies. Cross-sectional dependence test, slope heterogeneity Westerlund co-integration fully modified least ordinary square estimator, dynamic OLS augmented mean group estimator are employed to conduct robust analyses. The findings reveal non-renewable energy consumption escalate footprint, whereas renewable plunge footprint. In addition, from causality test uni-directional bi-directional between a few variables. Based findings, we deduce several implications accomplish sustainable development goals
