Mangroves stand out as one of the most diverse and biologically significant natural systems in world. Playing critical roles maintaining health productivity coastal ecosystems, mangroves provide a range services functions, including habitat for local fauna flora, food other goods, carbon sequestration, protection from disasters such storm surges erosion. It is also evident that face several threats, which have already led to gradual depletion mangrove areas worldwide. Based on analysis current related historical literature data, this review summarises functions threats challenges associated with management practices. Our findings suggest development, expanded aquaculture, deforestation, climate change, implications eutrophication, diseases, pollution are major factors posing sustainability. We highlight various challenges, land use conflict, lack stringent regulatory actions, inadequate policy government frameworks, community awareness, underlie ineffective management. The implementation inclusive coordinated approaches involving stakeholders different backgrounds interests, governmental non-governmental organisations, academia essential restoration sustainable by adapting mitigation strategies.

Soil samples were collected from areas S-type five-point sampling method. DNA was extracted, performed BGISEQ-500 platform. Alpha Beta analyses conducted, LEfSe analysis used identify differentially abundant microbial taxa metabolic pathways. A total 5,681 species across 1,606 genera, 521 families, 61 phyla, 246 orders identified. Non-rhizospheric soils exhibited higher richness than soils. Proteobacteria most phylum both types. Rhizospheric showed significant enrichment pathways related antibiotic biosynthesis, carbon metabolism, methane while enriched quorum sensing drug-metabolizing The findings highlight selective influence communities mitigating emissions. provides foundation for understanding functions alpine meadows supports sustainable management practices.

Abstract Globally, soils and sediments are affected by the bioturbation activities of benthic species. The consequences these particularly impactful in intertidal sediment, which is generally anoxic nutrient‐poor. Mangrove particular interest because, as most productive forests one important stores blue carbon, they provide global‐scale ecosystem services. mangrove sediment microbiome fundamental for functioning, influencing efficiency nutrient cycling abundance distribution key biological elements. Redox reactions bioturbated can be extremely complex, with reaction creating a cascade effect on succession respiration pathways. This facilitates overlap different respiratory metabolisms element cycles including nitrogen, sulphur iron cycles, among others.
