Achieving harmonious integration preservation economic relies on fundamental assessment security (ES). However, comprehensive assessments ES remain limited. This study introduces new index, multivariate index (MESI), which integrates ecosystem vigor, organization, elasticity, services risk. Here, MESI was utilized assess temporal spatial changes its associated impact factors China-Myanmar region (CMBR) from 2000 2020. provides clear representation actual status CMBR, exhibiting correlation with eco-environmental quality (EEQI; p < 0.01). exhibited notable heterogeneity consisting primarily both relatively safe levels, accounted for approximately 85% total area. From 2020, CMBR experienced gradual improvement status, area experiencing an increase level accounting 23.41% area, exceeded proportion decrease (4.71%). combined multiple exerted greater influence than did individual alone. Notably, human increasingly influenced during period. results this provide valuable insights sustainable management can be extended other regions.

Abstract With the aggravation of environmental conflicts, exploring green development path is an inevitable choice to alleviate land tension, guarantee harmony human–land relations, and promote coordinated regional development. The Yellow River Basin (YRB) important national ecological barrier area, but impact its problems can no longer be ignored. Ecological security patterns (ESPs) provide remarkable means for identification, configuration, optimization spaces, which help people identify most central zone that needs protected. In this paper, we proposed strategies applicable YRB as a case area. Firstly, basic framework ESPs was constructed based on “three‐step” method, where sources were delineated by importance/sensitivity, resistance surfaces created entropy weight distribution ranges corridors, nodes, barriers confirmed circuit theory. Meanwhile, stepping stones introduced optimize ESPs, obtained through hotspot analysis buffer analysis. results displayed (1) covered area 166,699.32 km 2 , occupying 21% basin They widely distributed in upper middle junctions, southeast east basin, types make up them, cropland, woodland, grassland account 97.6%. (2) spatial values varied considerably with low predominantly found along water systems high densely populated urban areas. (3) Through Linkage Mapper tool, 344 corridors acquired, dense short sparse long northwest; 146 nodes priority areas protection; 154 improvement or removal enhance connectivity between sources. addition, application further enhanced landscapes. assessment paper strong support relevant departments carry out monitoring formulate protection strategies.

This study focuses on constructing a heritage corridor for traditional villages in the Taihu Lake region, aiming to promote cultural preservation and sustainable development of these through innovative pathway design. Based spatial distribution characteristics across five cities surrounding (Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, Huzhou, Jiaxing) existing transportation network, this research integrates Circuit Effective Conductance (CEC) theory with ArcGIS analysis methods optimize pathways corridor. The results show that expected nearest neighbor distance 307 region is 5245.61 m, actual being 3385.60 z-score −11.85, index 0.645786, indicating exhibit clustered distribution. Combined kernel density results, “dual-core–four zones–multiple scatter points” structure revealed, Dongshan Island Wujiang District serving as primary secondary cores, respectively. By establishing “dual-ring corridor” stable village transmission has been formed, consisting 137 corridors. Meanwhile, CEC model demonstrates high adaptability generating circular corridors, particularly creating closed-loop structures around lake, thereby enhancing connectivity corridors facilitating effective flow resources. Through strategic design outer inner ring successfully links develops optimal travel routes. provides practical solutions protection, revitalization, integration tourism offers new perspective lakefront geographies China.

This study aimed to accurately map burned forest areas and analyze the spatial distribution of fires under complex terrain conditions. integrates Landsat 8, Sentinel-2, MODIS data in western Yunnan. A machine learning workflow was developed on Google Earth Engine by combining Dynamic World land cover with official fire records, utilizing a logistic regression-based feature selection strategy an enhanced SNIC segmentation GEOBIA framework. The performance four classifiers (RF, SVM, KNN, CART) burn detection evaluated through comparative analysis their spectral–spatial discrimination capabilities. results indicated that RF classifier achieved highest performance, overall accuracy 96.32% Kappa coefficient 0.951. Spatial further revealed regions at medium altitudes (800–1600 m) moderate slopes (15–25°) are more prone fires. demonstrates robust approach for generating accurate large-scale maps provides valuable insights effective management areas.

Constructing ecological security patterns (ESPs) is the basis for achieving sustainable regional development. This study explored a framework of spatially balanced ESPs suitable rapidly urbanizing areas to address issues overreliance on land and subjective parameter settings in traditional ESP construction methods. Three ecosystem service bundles (product supply, water conservation, habitat maintenance) were identified Guangzhou using self-organizing feature map method. These then used identify multifunctional sources. The minimum size source was determined be 10 km2 through "structure-pattern-function" framework, total 19 sources from three functions extracted.
