ABSTRACT
Post‐COVID‐19
mucormycosis,
particularly
the
rhino‐orbital‐cerebral
form,
can
be
life‐threatening.
This
case
highlights
importance
of
maintaining
high
clinical
suspicion,
especially
in
patients
with
recent
COVID‐19
history.
Prompt
diagnosis,
aggressive
surgical
debridement,
and
antifungal
therapy
are
crucial
for
successful
management,
even
without
traditional
risk
factors.

The
outbreak
of
opportunistic
fungal
infections
such
as
mucormycosis
has
been
a
critical
issue
following
coronavirus
disease
19
(COVID-19).
Mucormycosis
is
happened
by
the
group
Mucorales
and
commonly
affects
immunocompromised
patients.
To
date,
COVID-19-associated
(CAM)
being
reported
in
several
countries.
It
should
be
noted
that
CAM
started
patients
approximately
within
two
to
three
weeks
after
onset
COVID-19.
However,
here,
one
case,
symptoms
appeared
just
week.
In
with
due
this
enigmatic
infection,
sinuses
were
most
affected,
followed
orbit,
nose,
finally
brain.
All
cases
received
glucocorticoids
part
viral
therapy.
Diabetes
mellitus
(DM)
was
all
but
case
which
COVID-19
detected,
without
complications,
may
sole
predisposing
agent.
Therefore,
manuscript,
we
eight
COVID-19-induced
mucormycosis.
Although
experienced
evacuation
right
eye,
others
discharge
promising
outcomes
receiving
surgical
debridement
proper
anti-fungal
treatment
including,
amphotericin
B,
caspofungin,
posaconazole.
