The concept of sustainable supply chain resilience has garnered significant attention in recent years, particularly the context global challenges such as climate change, geopolitical instability, and pandemics. This review delves into conceptualization resilience, focusing specifically on critical materials manufacturing Africa a catalyst for transformative change. Africa, endowed with abundant natural resources, long been focal point discussions economic development industrialization. However, continent faces numerous challenges, including limited infrastructure, political environmental degradation. Despite these there is growing recognition Africa's potential to emerge key player chains, realm manufacturing. Critical materials, essential components various high-tech industries electronics, renewable energy, aerospace, have become increasingly vital today's interconnected world. Yet, current susceptible disruptions, posing risks economies worldwide. rich endowment presents an opportunity diversify strengthen chain, enhancing its face uncertainties. By strategically investing infrastructure fostering practices, can not only enhance prosperity but also contribute sustainability efforts. Leveraging energy sources, adopting eco-friendly production processes, promoting responsible resource management are integral this endeavor. Furthermore, requires collaboration among stakeholders, governments, businesses, academia, civil society. Policy interventions, technological innovation, capacity-building initiatives create enabling environment development. Conceptualizing offers pathway towards harnessing resources responsibly embracing play pivotal role shaping more resilient economy.

As part of its efforts to secure a 'net-zero society', the UK government will take strategic decision on role hydrogen in decarbonising homes within next years. While scholars have recently advanced social science research agenda technology acceptance, studies are yet engage with prospective dynamics adopting 'hydrogen homes'. In response, this study examines perceived adoption potential heating and cooking technologies, as evaluated through eyes consumer. Abstract The transition to sustainable energy is crucial for mitigating climate change impacts. This study addresses this imperative by simulating a green hydrogen supply chain tailored residential cooking in Oman. encompasses solar production, underground storage, pipeline transportation, and application, aiming curtail greenhouse gas emissions reduce the levelized cost of (LCOH). simulation results suggest leveraging robust 7 GW plant. Oman achieves an impressive annual production 9.78 TWh hydrogen, equivalent 147,808 tonnes H 2 , perfectly aligning with ambitious goals Vision 2040. overall LCOH estimated at highly competitive 6.826 USD/kg, demonstrating competitiveness when benchmarked against analogous studies. A sensitivity analysis highlights Oman’s potential cost-effective investments infrastructure, propelling nation towards future. not only pressing issue reducing carbon sector but also serves as model other regions pursuing transitions. developed models are publicly accessible https://hychain.co.uk providing valuable resource further research development field chains.
