This study focuses on applying the blending of chlorinated polyvinyl chloride and N- methyl-2 pyrrolidone to absorbent layer improve solar still’s performance as a result, distillate production per hour. Composition properties, such physical (viscosity), chemical (solubility), mechanical (surface tension), electrical (dielectric constant), morphological (FT-IR, UV-visible, SEM, FTRaman) were characterized for prepared samples. Chlorinated different weight percentages was blended into N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone their various properties. In accordance with dielectric experiments, NMP concentrations CPVC enhances material’s characteristics. The 20% sample had highest constant. solubility test reveals supposed be moderately soluble after 3 min heating at 60°C. Based thermal gravimetry analysis (TGA) findings, heat transfer is extroverted because there less space between particles. For C (NMP 18% CPVC), strength conductivity observed 35.1 0.162 W/m.K, which shows importance NMP. C, surface tension 0.0367 N/m W/m.K. Thus, study’s findings provided intriguing possibilities assess in stills.
