Globally, karst regions face the dual challenges of urbanization and ecological protection, with coupling coordination multi-dimensional (MDU) security (ECS) being a necessary condition for achieving sustainable development. This study, based on statistical data MDU ECS in Yunnan−Guizhou Region (the YGR) China, employs entropy weight TOPSIS model, degree (CCD) panel Tobit regression model to explore relationship between ECS. The main conclusions are as follows. (1) YGR increased from 0.299 0.305, indicating low-level sluggish Spatially, it is characterized by “dual-core” structure centered Kunming Guiyang. (2) decreased 0.456 0.423, spatial pattern “high east, low west.” impact human activities 0.579 0.631 due increase social economic activities. (3) CCD 0.579, moderate coordination. feature evolved into tri-cluster “high−low−high” across “eastern−central−northwestern” regions. (4) Regression results indicate that annual average precipitation has “both promoting limiting” effect CCD. coefficient proportion afforested land area 0.205, significance level 5%, suggesting increasing forest cover key measure improving study reveals factors influencing evolution negative positive correlation, providing basis decisions related development urban management landscapes globally.
