Financial
development
and
geopolitical
risks
are
crucial
for
understanding
the
consumption
of
renewable
energies
(CREs),
given
sustainability
challenges
global
economy.
This
research
examines
nonlinear
impact
financial
on
adopting
in
10
emerging
countries
facing
between
1985
2022.
By
employing
two
regime‐switching
approaches
(panel
threshold
autoregressive
(PTAR)
panel
smooth
transition
autoregression
(PSTAR)),
results
indicate
correlations
domestic
bank
credit
granted
to
private
sector
adoption
energies.
The
optimal
value
PTAR
model
is
40.171,
while
those
PSTAR
35.705
122.9.
Below
thresholds
models,
decreases
CREs.
Beyond
these
thresholds,
promotes
CRE
through
specific
incentives,
such
as
low‐interest
loans
tax
credits
energy
projects,
well
creation
specialized
instruments,
green
bonds.
Geopolitical
issues
have
prompted
governments
diversify
their
sources
intensify
investments
strengthen
security
reduce
dependence
volatile
fossil
fuel
markets.
Therefore,
terms
policy
implications,
education,
mitigation
risks,
goals
must
be
priorities
national
efforts
promote
sustainable
economic
growth.
