Energy stands as the fuel of human activities, and with finite fossil fuels, biodiesel has become a promising, eco-friendly alternative. Microwave technology is emerging one most efficient production methods. The primary goal this work to optimize microwave-assisted improve its productivity using response surface methodology. A modified microwave oven built-in stirring system temperature measurement significantly reduces reaction time compared traditional thermoelectric heating. Numerous factors impact production, encompassing catalyst type concentration, power, temperature, alcohol type, alcohol-to-oil molar ratio, water content, rate. Hence, acquiring comprehensive understanding how these variables affect becomes imperative. Response methodology was utilized yield sunflower oil involving ethanol NaOH catalyst. ethanol-to-oil amount on investigated. Results demonstrated that had significant an optimal 70 °C. highest yield, 98.4%, obtained at ratio 6:1 2% by mass sodium hydroxide.
