In this study, the contamination, ecological and human health risks as well source apportionment of As, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, Zn, V in street dusts different land-uses Kermanshah, Iran were investigated. A total 192 dust samples taken from 16 sites analyzed for their elemental contents using ICP-OES. The computed mean values geo-accumulation index (I-geo) pollution (PI) ranged − 6.07 to 2.67 0.023 9.58, respectively, indicating 'unpolluted' 'moderately heavily polluted', 'slight very high polluted' levels, respectively. load (PLI) with a cumulative value 1.03 reflected moderate levels across entire study area. Moreover, risk (RI) 135 indicated throughout region. hazard (HI) potentially toxic elements (PTEs) both adults children all within safe limit (< 1). Furthermore, carcinogenic (TCR) showed that associated Ni target populations at tolerable unacceptable levels. positive matrix factorization (PMF) model identified traffic emissions sources, fossil fuel combustion natural industrial major sources tested elements. Hence, thorough investigation into contamination is recommended future studies.
